About The Role:

The Scheduler/Driver is responsible for scheduling Doctor’s appointments and/or the timely and safe transportation of residents to various individual professional appointments.

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

• Maintain schedule of resident appointments
• Data entry into MS based data base
• Manage communications regarding appointments
• Dispatch to drivers via radio 
• Transport residents to scheduled appointments and back home
• Initiate safety inspections and checks
• Maintain vehicle records to include safety, mileage, transports, etc
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• High school education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents always.
• Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
• Driver's License (Required)
• Passenger Endorsement (Required)
• CDL A (Required)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Must be also to sit in a vehicle for up to six (6) hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload cargo areas. Must have the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling luggage and resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, cold, heat) for short periods of time. Must have good driving skills in handling vehicles on wet and/or slippery roads.
