Catering Assistant for Holy Grove Primary School. Burnley
Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service.
You will work as part of a large team in Barden Campus providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
The candidate must have proven experience of large scale catering with exceptional organisational skills and been able to lead a large team in Managers absence.
With excellent cooking/baking skills.
The role involves producing up to 500 meals a day, split between two Schools.
The position is term time only. Hours of work are from 8.00am until 2.00pm approx.
Plus four cleaning days throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas!
What We Are Looking For:
- An enthusiastic, experienced individual in industrial catering.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to take charge in Managers absence.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential
Working Hours/Days:
- 30 hours per week
