Mō te Tūranga | About the Role    

Our Business Managers play a pivotal role in servicing our small business customers. You’ll be responsible for identifying the needs of our current and prospective small business customers, providing assistance, advice and solutions to help them achieve the best outcomes.   

Interactions will be over the phone or via other digital channels.   

What are the key day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?   

  • Assist customers with all their lending needs, both personal and business
  • Have full conversations with customers and make appropriate recommendations around BNZ Products and services.
  • Understand how customers receive and process payments and make the appropriate recommendations to support the business.
  • Be curious and understand the needs of all customers to ensure we connect them to the right Banker. 

What you’ll do | Mō te tūranga

By staying curious and having value added conversations, a Business Manager will identify the current and future needs of our current and prospective small business customers; and provide assistance, advice and solutions to our customers to help them achieve the best outcomes. Interactions will be over the phone or via other digital channels.

What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?   

You’ll have proven business banking experience, and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and a curiosity to identify the needs of prospective small business customers. We are looking for:   

  • Previous experience in processing customer requests and providing advice, within a fast-paced environment.    
  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of operating a small business.    
  • You’ll love working with a range of different people and enjoy building and managing relationships are energized by helping those that work with you to grow.  
  • A natural problem solver, you’ll be able to adopt through changes and work efficiently within busy environment.
