Payroll Specialist Job Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll for all employees in accordance with statutory and company regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within payroll systems.
- Reconcile payroll prior to distribution and validate all entries for accuracy and compliance.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll related transactions.
- Prepare and process necessary payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external providers regarding payroll deadlines, audits, and statutory requirements.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, tax, benefits, and payroll procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the preparation and submission of statutory returns such as PAYE, pensions, and National Insurance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in payroll processes and compliance.
Payroll Job Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing and strong knowledge of French payroll legislation and best practices
- Proficient in using payroll software applications and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance or Accounting is an advantage.
- Competence in problem-solving and initiative to improve processes.
- ADP Décidium payroll software skills.
- Excellent English skills spoken and written.
