What’S The Role?
This role is a Parental Leave Cover Role for an 8- month period. At Westpac, the Risk Culture Team plays a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the organisation’s approach to risk. The team is responsible for the design, development, delivery, implementation, reporting, and continuous improvement of all elements within the Risk Culture Program.
As a Risk Culture Senior Manager, you will lead key initiatives that support the uplift of risk culture across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Designing and enhancing risk culture measurement methodologies, ensuring they are robust, insightful, and aligned with best practice.
- Generating actionable insights and strategic advice by leveraging the team’s subject matter expertise.
- Partnering with business units to assess risk culture strengths and identify areas for improvement, driving better outcomes for customers and the business.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives to evolve the Risk Culture Program in response to internal needs and external developments.
- Supporting the review and enhancement of frameworks, processes, and initiatives to ensure they reflect current and emerging approaches to risk culture and meet regulatory expectations.
What do I need?
- Proven experience in human behaviour-related fields such as organisational culture, behavioural change, or human resources (essential), with additional experience in risk or regulatory roles (preferred).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in disciplines such as organisational psychology, behavioural economics, or behavioural science (preferred).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Ability to extract and interpret data, providing meaningful insights to inform decision-making.
- Skilled facilitator, with experience conducting interviews, focus groups, and other engagement methods.
- Analytical capability across both qualitative and quantitative domains, with familiarity in statistical software such as SAS or SPSS considered (advantageous).
