As a JDI Supply Chain Buyer, you will work as part of a cross functional team with Project Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to support all aspects of our procure to pay process (P2P).
- Procurement of goods and services via sourcing and negotiations
- Negotiate all commercial (and in some cases technical) aspects of purchases
- Provide purchase recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery
- Develop and implement contract strategies for facilities maintenance and services
- Issuing and of RFPs and Purchase Orders to new/existing suppliers
- Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on market data and analysis
- Prioritization and ability to change tasks based on immediate rush requirements from site(s)
- Negotiate/lead discussions for any post contract disputes
- Opportunities to challenge yourself daily by making quick and creative decisions to meet requirements of the site in a fast-paced environment
- Build, maintain and manage relationships with key vendors and customers
- Daily/weekly management of divisional KPIs and initiatives
- Identify and capture cost savings and opportunities to support reciprocal affiliate business
- Post-secondary degree or diploma
- 2-5 Years of experience in a Procurement related field
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Self-Motivated and able to work under pressure
- Engages interest and participation from others and has a collaborative approach
- Ability to multitask while prioritizing workload and maintaining a high attention to detail
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build good rapport with customers and suppliers
- Post-Secondary Education or Diploma
