Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the business unit responsible for operating Microsoft’s cloud and the Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) team is responsible for constructing datacenter capacity. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects underway. The role of the Data Center Integration and Technical Infrastructure Manager (DC ITIM) requires excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. We are seeking a Program Manager with the ability to self-direct and who has a demonstrated background in Data Center Construction and Fit-out projects, with an emphasis on telecom infrastructure/construction management.
The DC ITIM is responsible for the program management of all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities associated with MSFT owned system and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into new data center builds or lease facilities to deliver capacity to the business in the Northern Virginia metro. The role requires the identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physical construction build and general contractor. The DC ITIM is responsible for coordinating the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met to handover the space to our Operations teams and the business. The DC ITIM is responsible for producing and managing project plans and executing major milestones (Early Access, Ready Network Install, Corpnet Live, Security CX Complete, Fit Out Complete, Lockdown, Colo Ready) and for the financial approval and management function.
This position will be based in Northern Virginia and will have responsibility of leading DCI scope of work for multiple Lease projects across the Northern Virginia metro.

Responsibilities
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitors project budgets and controls, manages expenditures, and ensures cost-effective delivery through strategic financial decisions.
- Project Coordination & Communication: Attends key meetings, advises stakeholders, and ensures alignment across teams and vendors.
- Change & Risk Management: Implements updated processes to improve efficiency and cost savings, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Resource & Vendor Management: Oversees procurement, staffing, and vendor performance to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Leads safety initiatives, conducts audits, and ensures adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Technical & Strategic Leadership: Reviews engineering documentation, provides technical recommendations, and aligns project execution with corporate standards.
- Performance Tracking & Goal Alignment: Tracks project progress, sets goals, measures performance, and fosters collaboration to meet strategic milestones.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience working on data center projects
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 7+ years experience working on data center projects.
- PMI (Project Management Institute) – PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation experience
- Experience managing large scale data center projects with both localized and virtual teams
- Client or Contractor side Datacenter construction or management experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Construction Project Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
