Warehouse Manager

Description

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with L&S’s policies and vision.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts that ensure efficient space utilization.
• Control inventory levels by conducting and coordinating physical counts, reconciling with data storage system, and maintaining communication with the purchasing department.
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures to ensure materials are accurately and efficiently distributed to subcontractors, service technicians and others.
• Maintain warehouse staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

Preferred Qualifications

• Warehouse management experience.
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
• Experience in plumbing, HVAC or electrical inventory control.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position:
• Working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow),
• Climbing ladders and steep stairs,
• Crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching,
• Pushing and pulling of objects, and 
• routinely lifting heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds
