Financial Analyst - Technology
The Financial Analyst - Technology resource will support both the leaders of the Tech Finance DFO function and the broader Chubb Technology organization. This support resource is responsible for assisting in the recording, analysis and overall management of the financial results for the tech team. This includes the generation of business plans, forecasts, and investigating/ rationalizing actual spend using data tools and techniques. There are also various ad hoc projects and improvement initiatives the team undertakes that this role supports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the tech Finance strategic plan, annual plan, monthly forecast and reporting actual results.
- Assist in the close of the monthly GAAP financials.
- Prepare and communicate monthly tech financial results, headcount monitoring and forecasting trends with proper insights and transparency.
- Provide support to tech customers and Business community.
- Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and providing guidance during unexpected events.
- Seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction through reporting enhancements and effective and timely communication.
- Utilize financial knowledge and business acumen to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that drive improvements and deliver results.
- Utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience.
- Collecting and analyzing quantitative data in support of team initiatives.
- Assist with business cases and other financial modeling activities.
*The salary level and salary for this position will be flexible based on the candidate’s experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Minimum 1 to 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence.
- Attention to detail and results oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high performing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- TM1 system experience a plus, but not necessary.
- Ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interact with all levels of leadership.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
