The Role Is About:
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to help drive our customer outreach and acquisition efforts in the United Kingdom. As an SDR, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a key role in identifying qualified leads and building a strong pipeline for our sales team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to develop a career in fintech sales and gain exposure in a fast-paced, high-growth industry.
Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Head of Sales (Acquiring)
You Will:
- Identify and research potential clients through outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events).
- Engage with inbound and outbound leads to understand their business needs and determine fit with payabl.'s solutions. Setting meetings for sales manager to discuss in more detail our solutions.
- Develop a solid understanding of payabl.’s products and services to confidently communicate value to prospects.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align messaging, campaigns, and hand-off of qualified leads.
- Support Sales Managers to assist with cases and ensure leads progress smoothly and in a timely manner.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions and activities in our CRM system.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving business needs in the UK payments space.
- Consistently meet or exceed KPIs related to lead generation, outreach, and qualified opportunities.

You are a driven, results-oriented professional with a passion for starting conversations and unlocking business potential. With a growing understanding of the payments and fintech space, you know how to spot opportunities and are excited by the challenge of opening doors. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a proactive “hunter” and growth mindset to everything you do.

- Experience: 1-2 years in a sales, business development, or lead generation role (preferably B2B or within fintech, payments, or SaaS).
- Proactive & Energetic: A go-getter who thrives on creating conversations and building early-stage relationships with prospective clients.
- Curious & Quick Learner: Ability to absorb information quickly and translate complex payment solutions into business value.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong time management skills and a structured approach to lead qualification, follow-ups and sales support.
- Results-Driven: You’re motivated by goals and enjoy celebrating wins, both big and small.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable talking to senior stakeholders.
