Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Flight operations entail the pilot resources, flight planning, flight competence optimization, coordination of and compliance to regulations as well as operational maintenance and ground operations. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.
We are now looking for a
Senior Manager, Maintenance Planning
to join Planning & Base Maintenance team. In this role you will be responsible for leading your own team of 20-25 maintenance planning experts, representing maintenance planning in stakeholder meetings and continuous improvement of your team and planning processes. Responsibilities include fleet-wide planning by aligning Finnair’s strategic objectives, traffic program, maintenance slot planning and maintenance supplier capabilities. Timeframe covers activities ranging from short-term to long-term. Work includes leading maintenance concept development and line and base maintenance planning. Your support and oversight are needed in maintenance plan implementation. You will be working closely with Finnair’s own maintenance organization, external maintenance suppliers, Network Management, Procurement and Operations Control Center (OCC).
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead Finnair’s line and base maintenance planning through a team of 20-25 experts.
- Workload and resources management of your own team.
- Continuous improvement of your own team and planning processes.
- Leading planning related development projects.
- Represent maintenance planning in stakeholder meetings.
- Short-, mid- and long-term maintenance need forecasting and slot planning.
- Support operative teams and external suppliers in execution of the planned works.
- Support in budgeting and procurement of maintenance services.
Our Expectations:
- Minimum 5 years of team leadership experience.
- Very strong people leading, stakeholder management, communication and teamwork skills.
- Analytical thinking, problem solving, coordination, prioritization, project management and process development skills.
- Ability to withstand pressure and learn things quickly.
- Basic understanding of airline business, aircraft maintenance and maintenance planning principles.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree from relevant field.
- Good written and spoken English, Finnish is seen as an asset.
