Description
North Mississippi Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Southaven is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our patient-focused team. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for every patient, from their first phone call to their post-treatment follow-up.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from a dental or oral surgery office, excel in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits, calculate patient portions, and determine pre-pay amounts for consultations and surgeries.
- Accurately enter and manage patient information using EMR systems.
- Discuss treatment plans and financial responsibilities with patients and collect payments as needed.
- Answer and manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system with professionalism and warmth.
- File and follow up on insurance claims, ensuring proper documentation for timely processing.
- Schedule and confirm clinical and surgical appointments.
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Prepare patient charts and maintain daily schedules for the clinical team.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while multitasking efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental or oral surgery office required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of receptionist or front office experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy environment.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and support the team.
