Overview

The Senior Director, Treasury will lead the Bank’s Corporate Treasury area by managing our daily cash position, balance sheet funding, liquidity forecasting, capital planning, and related risk management. The Director will ensure the Bank’s treasury management policies and regulatory requirements are met. In addition, the Director will oversee the Bank’s Asset Liability Management function including forecasting, interest rate risk modeling, funds transfer pricing, liquidity stress testing, and capital adequacy testing. The Director will be responsible for Asset Liability Management Committee reporting and Asset Liability Investment Committee reporting.

Responsibilities To Include

  • Oversee Balance Sheet and Liquidity Management – Direct daily management of cash, securities, loan, and deposit positions to ensure sufficient liquidity and efficient funding of operations.
  • Manage Liquidity Risk and Stress Testing – Maintain high-quality liquid asset portfolios, perform liquidity coverage analysis, and develop contingency funding plans for adverse scenarios.
  • Lead Interest Rate Risk (ALM) Framework – Oversee interest rate risk modeling (EaR, EVE) and scenario analysis, ensuring accurate measurement and reporting of balance sheet sensitivity.
  • Direct Investment Portfolio Management – Manage AFS and HTM securities portfolios, ensuring alignment with liquidity, yield, and risk objectives while maintaining policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee Capital Planning and Stress Testing – Coordinate with Finance and Risk to execute capital adequacy assessments, stress testing, and long-term capital planning initiatives.
  • Chair and Support ALCO – Prepare and present ALCO and Investment Committee materials; provide strategic recommendations on balance sheet positioning, funding, and interest rate exposure.
  • Enhance Treasury Technology and Reporting – Partner with IT and Finance to develop treasury systems, automated dashboards, and KPI reporting to monitor liquidity, profitability, and funding metrics.
  • Ensure Strong Internal Controls – Oversee treasury-related internal controls over financial reporting, segregation of duties, and compliance with internal audit and risk management standards.
  • Maintain Governance and Policy Frameworks – Develop and update Treasury, Liquidity, and IRR policies and limits consistent with regulatory expectations and the Bank’s risk appetite. 
  • Support Executive Management and Strategic Initiatives – Collaborate with senior leaders on balance sheet optimization, audits, regulatory exams, and special projects that advance the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • CTP qualification is highly preferred. CFA or CPA qualification would be a bonus.
  • 10+ years of progressive treasury experience including 3+ years’ experience in a similar role at a regulated financial institution.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a senior management, director, or leadership role, leading cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while delivering on strategic financial objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of financial instruments, cash management strategies, treasury risk management best practices, and bank regulatory requirements including regulatory capital, risk weighted assets, and liquidity ratios.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing cash position management, funding levels, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience with ALM software (e.g., Jack Henry ProfitStars) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with extracting, analyzing, and merging data from disparate systems and performing complex analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
