About The Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the Philadelphia office who will lead the financial performance analysis function and supports data-driven decision-making for corporate leadership. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will prepare complex financial reports and manages cross-functional data requests from Accounting, Client Servicing, Sales and the Executive Leadership Team, as well as the Board. Key responsibilities for this role will include managing the financial revenue forecasts and P&L accounts across multiple line of business, assisting with the monthly financial close process, inclusive of the preparing financial reports and dashboard for Board level analysis, tracking firmwide employee utilization, and addressing ad-hoc requests from senior leadership across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Firmwide Financial Forecasts through in-depth understanding of Financial Performance Reporting. Collect, analyse, and maintain all financial data, including revenue management and expense variances, and prepare comprehensive P&L analyses for firmwide leadership, as well as prepare sub P&L performance for practice leads.
  • Lead data analysis and data visualization process through quarterly & monthly presentation of performance results for key stakeholders across the firm. Support Finance Leadership in modelling and presenting regular reporting and variance analyses to all departments to promote decision-making and alignment to our corporate objectives & identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
  • Extract, validate, and analyse financial data across multiple systems, leveraging NetSuite reporting tools to strengthen data accuracy and transparency to lead process improvements and increase efficiencies. Finance Team is in the midst of transitioning to NetSuite as the financial source of truth for all performance reporting and revenue forecasting. Experience in NetSuite and exposure to SQL is a plus.
  • Assist in annual budget process while maintaining and organizing data from cross functional areas of the firm to model future forecasted performance.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required. MBA or background in Data Analytics preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience in a similar role or work experience
  • Strong financial modeling experience and advanced working knowledge with data visualization software and ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
  • High-level proficiency with analytical systems/tools e.g., exceptional skills in Excel, as well other Microsoft Office 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Desired proficiency with data visualization tools. PowerBi preferred.
  • Professional experience working in SQL or similar data querying languages.
  • Strong analytical, data collection, and problem-solving skills.
  • Refined presentation skills and comfortable presenting financial recommendations to corporate leadership
  • Ability to work well with others in teams and demonstrate strong professional communication across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and manage time appropriately.
  • Interested in improving the firmwide technology systems and having an impact across multiple facets of the company.
  • Flexibility to take on a wide array of projects.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for candidates is $87,100/year in our lowest geographic market range to up to $96,000/year in our highest geographic market range. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 7% of annual salary. 

Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need.
