If you feel the same, then you’ve found your future.Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee and manage multiple design/build construction projects from concept to completion. This position plays a vital role in coordinating across disciplines, maintaining schedules and budgets, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of a variety of construction projects.
Our work includes petroleum storage tank replacements, boiler and mechanical system upgrades, dam repairs and stream restorations, environmental remediation, site construction and infrastructure installations, and general construction projects.
This position requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Develop projects from concept through completion, coordinating with engineers and specialists
- Prepare proposals, including scope, schedule, and budgets, in collaboration with subcontractors and vendors, architects and engineers
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout each project’s lifecycle
- Prepare contracts for clients, subcontractors, subconsultants, and vendors
- Perform constructability reviews within and across departments
- Conduct cost estimating and material inspections (paving, concrete, soils)
- Lead client and subcontractor meetings and ensure project communication and documentation is clear and timely
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in construction and/or design-build project management
- OSHA 10-hour Construction certification (OSHA 30 or 40 with refreshers preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Experience with AutoCAD; ability to perform mass cut/fill balances preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors, and subconsultants
- Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and contract management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
