Job Description

Mariana Tek, part of Xplor, is building and scaling a modern platform that powers boutique fitness brands worldwide. Our best-in-class studio management software helps businesses sell products, manage classes, and track performance, all while delivering an exceptional user experience. 

We’re looking for a Senior/Staff Frontend Engineer with advanced Ember.js expertise and strong React + TypeScript skills to help shape the future of our customer-facing applications and studio management tools. This role goes beyond writing great code: you’ll provide architectural direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. 

Your work will directly impact thousands of fitness enthusiasts and studio owners across the globe. 

Our Tech Stack

• Frontend: Ember.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS/SCSS 
• Backend: Python, Django 
• Take ownership of frontend initiatives, driving architecture, implementation, and delivery. 
• Write clean, performant, maintainable code in Ember.js, React, and TypeScript. 
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and engineering excellence. 
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver impactful features. 
• Contribute to and help evolve our shared component-based design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability. 
• Lead thoughtful code reviews and set best practices for frontend development.

What You’Ll Do

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, helping with project planning and estimation. 
• Identify and address technical debt while balancing long-term sustainability with product velocity. 

What We’re Looking For 

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience. 
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Ember.js (Ember Data, Ember CLI, testing strategies, performance optimizations). 
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and modern component design. 
• Experience building and scaling large, mature single-page applications. 
• Proven experience influencing architecture and technical direction. 
• Strong understanding of accessibility and building inclusive, user-friendly interfaces. 
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture and web components. 
• Experience with modern build tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite). 
• Exposure to internationalization/localization, web APIs (e.g., Web Workers, Push API), and CI/CD practices. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across product, design, and engineering. 
• Pragmatic mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences. 
• Bonus: Experience with SaaS platforms or customer-facing applications, and/or backend frameworks like Python/Django. 
• Proven experience influencing architecture and technical direction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
