Job Description
Position Summary:
As a Finance Business Partner with a focus on projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, supporting cross-functional project teams, and ensuring financial rigor across all stages of project delivery. This role requires a proactive approach to financial management, aiming to enhance business performance and drive sustainable growth. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing financial insights, risk assessments, and performance tracking to enable data-driven decision-making. Directly reporting to the Regional Finance Business Partner, you will be an integral part of the Global Finance Operations Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Financial Leadership: Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for strategic projects; monitor projects spend vs. budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with project managers, operations, and commercial teams to support project execution; provide financial guidance and challenge assumptions to optimize outcomes.
- Performance Management: Track KPIs and project milestones, identifying risks and opportunities; prepare and present financial reports to project steering committees and leadership teams.
- Process Efficiency and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes by striving for simplification and standardization,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. An MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in Experience in leading finance for transformation, digitalization, or operational excellence projects. Familiarity with agile project methodologies and change management principles.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the impact of financial decisions on business outcomes.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modeling and experience with financial software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc.) and ERP systems. Experience using data visualization tools (PowerBI etc.) is highly preferred
- Analytical Skills: High proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and data interpretation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide leadership and guidance on financial matters to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
