Job Description
Claims Digital is an exciting delivery stream within the TAL Technology Claims platform that is redefining how customers and partners can submit and track their claims for life insurance with ease, speed and surety. Our team manages a number of market-leading digital solutions and we are continuously broadening access opportunities and features for customers at the times in their lives when they need us most.
This position provides business analysis expertise to continuously enhance and support TAL’s digital services for Partners and Customers throughout the Claims lifecycle, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and increasing operational efficiency by streamlining claims handling and accelerating decision-making.
In This Role You Will:
- Identify and drive improvements in business processes to enhance customer experience, boost digital adoption, and reduce operating costs.
- Collaborate with business and design teams to define and document UX/UI and functional requirements, translating them into user stories for engineering and QA.
- Use data insights to recommend product enhancements and close gaps in analytics.
- Map current and future state processes to align teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct data analysis and contribute to data design and classification.
- Design and execute test cases, support regression testing, and verify production changes.
- Create clear documentation and deliver presentations to support product adoption.
- Support backlog prioritisation and refinement to ensure smooth delivery flow.
- Facilitate workshops and act as a subject matter expert on product-related issues.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in business analysis and eliciting requirements within a digital environment, focusing on building good customer experiences.
- Background in Agile delivery with a deep understanding and practical use of modern digital frameworks.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, process mapping, flow charting, data analysis and mapping, acceptance test planning and execution, problem solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce and embed new ideas and approaches into existing working practices, coupled with a strong adaptability to change.
- Robust stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of autonomy, showing proactive initiative and a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Able to identify potential business, commercial and technical risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Highly Desirable:
- Life Insurance and/or insurance claims and/or superannuation knowledge
- Experience writing SQL for data analysis and Postman for API testing
- Experience using generative AI to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and enhance productivity.
