At IVC Evidensia, over 100 referral sites have joined our UK and Ireland network over the years, but Blaise is the first we’ve built from the ground up. Situated in Longbridge, Birmingham, Blaise will be one of the largest multidisciplinary referral hospitals in the UK, with the capacity to treat up to 10,000 pets per year.Sustainability has been a key priority, with several green and wellbeing initiatives included as part of our Positive Pawprint strategy. At over 36,000 sq ft, the hospital will offer specialist-led, multi-discipline veterinary referrals and a 24-hour emergency care service for pet owners across the Midlands. Conveniently located just off the A38, Blaise is part of the West Longbridge regeneration project.Designed with collaboration in mind, our open plan layout and state-of-the-art facilities ensure a collegiate, positive, and supportive working culture.

Our Imaging Service works with ultrasound, CT and MRI modalities, supporting multiple disciplines across the hospital. You’ll work closely with our Diagnostic Imager and Animal Care Assistants to prepare patients for imaging assessments, assist with sample procurement, and set up sedation or anaesthesia when needed, often for patients with complex or unstable medical conditions (supported by an anaesthetist when available).Alongside the ACA, you’ll help maintain our imaging suites and equipment to the highest standard. Supported by our Clinical Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day activities of the imaging service, contributing to a culture built on teamwork, communication and excellence.
About the role
*Supporting and assisting with imaging services across multiple modalities, including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography and ultrasound*Preparing patients and imaging suites for assessment, including sample procurement where required*Assisting clinicians and imagers with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including contrast and interventional services*Using advanced monitoring equipment and patient warming devices to ensure patient safety at all times*Setting up for sedation or anaesthesia for imaging procedures, with anaesthetist support where available*Supporting the maintenance and cleaning of imaging equipment and suites, and upholding hospital safety and quality assurance policies
What we’re looking for
Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong interest in diagnostic imaging*A relevant imaging qualification is desirable but not essential*Previous experience in a referral hospital is preferred, and you should be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and practical competence*Commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism and ethical standards*Prioritisation of animal welfare and a desire to provide the highest standard of patient care*Positive outlook, confidence in your abilities and an open, team-oriented approach
