Why This Role?

Next Street seeks a highly organized, proactive, and adaptable Executive Assistant (EA) to support our CEO. This role is central to ensuring the CEO’s effectiveness and impact. You will serve as a right-hand partner, managing priorities, coordinating high-stakes meetings, and enabling seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The EA role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong judgment, and brings both discretion and energy to executive-level support.

Your work will consist of…

Executive Support & Prioritization (30%)

  • Serve as the primary administrative partner to the CEO, ensuring she has what she needs, when she needs it.
  • Understand firm-wide and CEO priorities, and proactively align on CEO priorities at the beginning of each week
  • Adjust and reprioritize schedules based on changing demands, offering suggestions to optimize time.
  • Be highly accessible during working hours (via phone/text) and available during key times such as travel, board meetings, and quarterly reviews.

Board Logistics & Liaison (25%)

  • Schedule and coordinate Board meetings, events, and off-cycle touchpoints
  • Manage logistics for Board sessions, including venues, technology, agendas, and print materials
  • Liaise with internal teams (CEO, Executive leadership team, Board prep team) and Board members as well as their EAs to provide direct support to Board members as needed, and track overall Board engagement with the firm
  • Coordinate written communication as needed for Board updates
  • Organize meeting minutes and coordinate with content providers

 Business Development & External Coordination (20%)

  • Schedule and coordinate high-priority BD and sales meetings, often involving multiple stakeholders
  • Communicate directly with client and prospect EAs to ensure smooth scheduling
  • Travel to high-profile meetings (2-3x per year), as appropriate, with the CEO
  • Track and anticipate key client priorities in partnership with the CEO

Internal Coordination (15%)

  • Schedule internal meetings and manage gatekeeping
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth execution of CEO-directed priorities
  • Understand firm-wide sequencing and priorities to align CEO’s time effectively

Administrative & Operational (10%)

  • Manage expenses, time tracking, reimbursements, and travel bookings
  • Draft and prepare ad hoc documents, sometimes on confidential or time-sensitive matters
  • Order gifts, sympathy cards, or other items as needed
  • Provide limited personal-life coordination as it intersects with CEO’s schedule

  • 7+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably supporting senior executives and high-growth companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, logistics, and priorities with discretion.
  • Strong judgment, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort engaging with senior executives and clients.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • A proactive, can-do mindset and a genuine interest in enabling a CEO’s effectiveness.

Next Street believes in an equitable and transparent compensation approach. The starting salary for manager-level positions across the firm is $ 110,878, regardless of location, and is commensurate with experience. This role is based in Charlotte, NC.
