This role is based in our Boulder, Santa Monica or NYC office.
What We’Re Looking For:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing Specialist with a strong background in copywriting and a "doer" mentality to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in executing effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive engagement, attendance, and sales for Informa Markets Engineering events. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a knack for crafting compelling content and a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. With a focus on email marketing and sales collateral creation, this role requires someone who thrives on delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
Role Accountability And Duties:
- Develop, write, and optimize engaging email marketing campaigns using the Eloqua platform, ensuring alignment with audience segmentation strategies and content calendars.
- Build and maintain an email marketing calendar to drive consistent communication and improve engagement for both attendees and exhibitors.
- Create and design impactful marketing materials, including sales collateral, attendee development assets, and other promotional content to support event goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., digital marketing, sales, creative, and marketing automation) to execute and refine strategic marketing initiatives.
- Analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights to improve effectiveness and ROI.
- Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Partner with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs and ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Support the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing plans that align with internal initiatives and event objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent years’ work.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or communications, with a strong emphasis on email marketing and content creation.
- Proficiency in marketing tools such as Eloqua, Adobe Creative Cloud, project management software, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint).
- Working knowledge of HTML, with an eye for design and meticulous attention to detail.
- Team player who collaborates effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders with a solutions oriented approach to challenges.
- Experience in developing and executing email campaign strategies, including segmentation and content calendar management.
- Skilled in copywriting and storytelling, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and channels.
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
- Creative and innovative thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in prioritization, organization, and project management abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Bonus: Experience in the event industry or with event marketing.
- This role requires 5-10% domestic travel for business purposes.

The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000 based on experience.
