Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and verify billing data meticulously for accuracy to guarantee that all charges are correctly applied.
2. Generate and deliver invoices to customers promptly, ensuring timely billing cycles and clear communication.
3. Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or errors, coordinating with other teams and departments as necessary to facilitate swift resolution.
4. Engage with customers regarding billing inquiries, providing clear, professional, and polite responses to support strong client relationships.
5. Assist with month-end closing processes related to billing, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date for financial reporting.
6. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to promote billing accuracy, including operational, finance, and compliance departments.
7. Perform daily activities involving the billing and auditing of assigned claims to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
8. Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as compliance with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements affecting billing and rating processes.

Additional Duties:

• Continuously monitor and suggest improvements for billing procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce errors.
• Maintain detailed documentation of billing processes and communications to ensure transparency and facilitate audits.
• Support the training and development of junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices related to billing and claims processing.
• Adapt to evolving billing systems and technologies, contributing to digital transformation initiatives within the department.

Qualifications And Skills:

• Proven experience in billing, rating, or similar financial operations roles, preferably within transportation or logistics sectors.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to accurately review complex billing data.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to billing and transportation operations is highly valued.
• Demonstrated commitment to compliance, accuracy, and ethical handling of sensitive financial information.
