About Your Skills

Stakeholder Management: You excel at identifying key stakeholders across technical and business functions, building strong relationships at all levels, and creating communication strategies that ensure alignment on complex technology initiatives and organizational priorities.

Business Strategies: You develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans that bridge technology and business objectives, translating technical possibilities into actionable business outcomes while considering resource constraints and competitive positioning.

Change Management: You lead organizational transformations by preparing teams for technology-driven changes, designing transition strategies, and ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working across the CTO organization.

Systemic Thinking: You understand complex technical and business ecosystems, analyzing how different components interact and identifying opportunities for optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic advantage across interconnected systems and processes.

About This Role

As Vice President of Operations (Technology), you will serve as a strategic partner and operational leader, driving critical initiatives that shape Udemy's technology strategy and organizational effectiveness. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and business, leading cross-functional programs while developing your executive leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, innovative environment that directly impacts millions of learners worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with the CTO to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align technology capabilities with business objectives and drive competitive advantage
  • Lead cross-functional programs and special projects that span engineering, product, data, and business teams to deliver transformational outcomes
  • Drive operational excellence by establishing and optimizing processes, governance frameworks, and performance metrics across the technology organization
  • Lead organizational development initiatives including talent strategy, team structure optimization, and culture-building efforts
  • Analyze complex business and technical challenges, synthesizing insights and recommendations for executive decision-making

What You'Ll Have

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic roles such as management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or chief of staff positions
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in technology-driven organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and drive data-informed decisions
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders across technical and business functions
  • Demonstrated success in change management and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Background in technology companies or deep understanding of software development, product management, and technology operations
