Job Description
Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort are looking for a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join their talented and passionate culinary team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to brand standards.
- Support and guide team members, providing training and feedback to maintain high performance.
- Conduct room checks and quality inspections to ensure attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with rostering, task allocation, and maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and amenities.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate room readiness and resolve issues promptly.
- Uphold workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Expected minimum hours: 30 hours per week
Location: 327/343 Frankton Road, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand
Hourly range: $27-$29NZD per hour. (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Payment of wages will be processed on a fortnightly basis by direct credit to your nominated bank account.
- Annual salary approximate: $42,120 - $45,240 (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver).

Breaks: Employees are entitled to paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks based on the number of hours worked. Breaks will be taken at times agreed to by the employer and employee or when the law says breaks must be taken. Leave Entitlements: As per Employment New Zealand - Leave and holidays | Employment New Zealand and Holidays Act 2003.
Period of Notice: Four weeks
Qualifications
- 0–6-month experience within a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail to maintain high presentation standards.
- Good communication and leadership abilities to support and motivate the team.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
