What You’Ll Do

• Design, test, and build Datto’s world-class BCDR backup products that protect business data worldwide.
• Partner with Product Management to develop innovative features that enhance the MSP experience.
• Ensure reliable, secure data backup and recovery — because “almost” isn’t good enough.
• Identify gaps, streamline processes, and champion continuous improvement.
• Be a positive role model who inspires collaboration and growth.
• Participate in a rotational on-call program, enhancing troubleshooting tools and response times to keep things running smoothly.

Skills You’Ll Bring

• Strong background in object-oriented design and problem-solving.
• 7+ years’ experience delivering reliable, maintainable software.
• Exposure to Linux debugging, command-line tools, and bash scripting.
• Solid grasp of data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with hypervisors (VMWare, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, KVM) or ZFS/COW file systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with functional programming.
• B.S. or M.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
