Job Description

Location: 830 Gemini St. Houston, TX 77058

  • Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
  • Schedule patients. Explain procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
  • Position patients and select appropriate transducers.
  • Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment, and move scanners over specific body areas and adjust equipment of focus.
  • Make hard copy images and document tests.
  • Develop film using automatic film processing equipment and assemble materials for radiologists.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
  • Prepare patients for physicians, obtain vital signs and assist during examination.
  • Maintain department records, reports and files.
  • Keep the work area clean.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Participate in staff development and educational activities.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform related work as required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience performing prenatal ultrasounds and fetal echocardiograms is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with physicians and other team members.
  • Active certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) is required.
  • Active certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a specialty in Fetal Echocardiography is required, or must be actively pursuing and eligible to sit for this exam.
