About The Role
As the Senior BI Data Analyst, you will lead complex, end-to-end data analysis initiatives that translate business challenges into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. You’ll leverage advanced SQL and BI tools to build and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and data models that guide decision-making across the organization.
Acting as both a technical expert and strategic partner, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to define analytical priorities and ensure data integrity through strong governance practices. This position also plays a key role in mentoring team members, optimizing data systems, and driving continuous improvement in analytics capabilities.
What You Will Do:
Advanced Data Analysis & Strategy
- Lead complex, end-to-end data analysis projects, from defining business problems to delivering actionable insights.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources (e.g., databases, UIs, APIs, spreadsheets) to identify trends, patterns, and insights using advanced SQL skills
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Gsheets, Tableau, Looker Studio, Superset, Streamlit, Airbyte, Github etc.) to present key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis to answer specific business questions and provide recommendations to improve processes
- Develop and maintain SQL based model reports and BI solutions that support long-term business goals.
Mentorship & Leadership
- Act as a subject matter expert and a go-to person for complex technical challenges within the team.
- Lead the development and maintenance of data governance standards to ensure data quality and integrity across the organization.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Work directly with senior leadership to understand their strategic needs and translate them into robust analytical solutions.
- Communicate and present complex findings and strategic recommendations to executive-level audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
System & Tool Oversight
- Oversee the architecture and performance of the company's data warehouse and BI platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively investigating business performance issues and recommending, evaluating, and implementing new BI technologies and tools to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure scalability.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or Finance.
- A Master’s degree is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Data Science role
- Mastery of complex SQL queries, including performance tuning, window functions (e.g., ROW_NUMBER(), LAG()), CTEs, and database design concepts (e.g., schema, normalization).
- Deep understanding of data warehousing principles (e.g., Snowflake schemas) and direct experience working with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
Nice To Have:
- Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python or R) for advanced data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automating ETL/reporting processes.
- Advanced BI Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in at least one enterprise-grade visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), including developing advanced calculations, data models, and executive-level dashboards.
