The Opportunity
DAT Solutions, a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for our Platform Engineering team. The candidate should be a forward-looking individual with working experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Serverless technologies to expand our current Platform Engineering efforts. You should be willing to question current practices and help to push the team forward in the DevSecOps maturity cycle as it is a growing and learning organization

The ideal candidate is an experienced AWS cloud infrastructure engineer with a passion for IaC and automation, excelling in EKS, Terraform, and CI/CD. A collaborative team player, they thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, actively seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and reliability while eagerly embracing new technologies. Lastly you will collaborate with our community of Principal Engineers across the Engineering organization to ensure technical solutions are delivered cohesively organization-wide
What You'Ll Do
- Design and Build Scalable Platforms: Lead the design, development, and implementation of core DevSecOps solutions for containerized and serverless platforms in AWS.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies, guiding software engineering and SRE teams in building and deploying reliable applications.
- Implement Cloud Standards: Collaborate with Staff Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to establish and enforce standards for high availability, security, and scalability.
- Mentor and Support: Act as a technical mentor and resource, fostering growth and supporting fellow engineers across our platform and product teams.
- Troubleshoot and Optimize: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
- Document Systems: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in On-call Rotation: Actively participate in the on-call rotation to ensure continuous system availability and support.
The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other equivalent engineering or science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with the development, deployment, and reliability of a large enterprise estate. 6-7 years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of AWS, with a deep focus on EKS, ECS, and Lambda for building and running cloud-native applications.
- Expert-level experience with EKS configuration, management, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern networking concepts (VPCs, service meshes (Istio).
- A strong foundation in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectural patterns.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with hands-on mastery of Terraform or CloudFormation to build scalable and repeatable cloud infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, and applying GitOps methodologies.
- A strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance within DevSecOps workflows that deploy to AWS.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and scaling multi-cluster, multi-region, and multi-account infrastructure
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and cloud orchestration.
- Proven experience taking ownership of key platform initiatives, working hands-on with cross-functional teams to implement and operate scalable and reliable services.

For Washington-based candidates, in compliance with the Washington State Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this role is $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 + target bonus. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
