Position Overview
The Free Press is looking for a Social-First Video Editor to help us bring our journalism to millions more people online. This person will play a key role in growing our presence on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts by creating must-watch, viral content.

The Free Press is looking for a Social-First Video Editor to help us bring our journalism to millions more people online. This person will play a key role in growing our presence on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts by creating must-watch, viral content.
What You’Ll Do
- Edit short-form, social-first videos from our podcasts, YouTube shows, and reported articles.
- Edit compelling viral clips featuring our reporters and stories.
- Experiment with new formats and trends to increase engagement, reach, and followers.
- Work closely with the Head of Social Media to execute and expand our social video strategy.

- No college degree required.
Requirements
- Must live or be willing to relocate to New York City.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proven ability to produce engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
