Role Overview

Partner with business leaders to develop and implement business people strategies; support business goals and initiatives by ensuring relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness based on business understanding.
Provide coaching, direction and counsel to people managers and business leaders as well as all levels of employees to proactively anticipate, prevent and resolve people issues.

What You Will Do 

• Oversee all HRM for Coupang's office-based employees, managing a team of two in improving employee policies and guidelines and making Coupang a better workplace
• Daily Operation: New hire and exit process, HR Audit, WD maintenance, RSU user guide, cost center management, reporting, payroll offline data, local government request support, employment contracting, visa and mobility support, and residential support, outsourced service monitor, emergency management, other ad-hoc request in need.
• L&D: New hire onboarding, employee engagement activities, language trainings, workshops, company-wide meeting support
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal/HR compliance teams as needed/required.
• Consult with line management and provide daily people lifecycle guidance and assist leaders as needed. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Partner with other Process COE, People Systems, and other People teams to identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, quality, and/or throughput metrics.
• Serve as escalation point for issues and requests related to people process.
• Engage in knowledge management and change management activities for projects and change requests.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem solving for any issues arising.
• Oversee HR process improvement projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Benchmark market best practices and introduce new systems/solutions where applicable.
