About the Opportunity:As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the compliance program for our crypto exchange. This includes establishing and maintaining robust know-your-customer (KYC), know-your-transaction (KYT), and anti-money laundering (AML) policies and procedures. You will work closely with our legal, risk, and operations teams to ensure the company remains in full regulatory compliance as the crypto industry continues to evolve and also all licensing matters.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on all compliance-related laws, regulations, and industry best practices applicable to the crypto industry
• Design and oversee the implementation of comprehensive KYC, KYT, and AML programs to identify, monitor, and mitigate compliance risks
• Develop and continuously update compliance policies, procedures, and controls to address new regulatory requirements and emerging risks
• Manage a team of compliance specialists responsible for customer onboarding, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting, and regulatory filings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to embed a culture of compliance and ensure all business activities adhere to compliance standards
• Stay abreast of global regulatory developments and emerging compliance trends in the crypto space
• Represent the company in interactions with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and other industry stakeholders
• Provide compliance training and guidance to employees across the organization
• Prepare detailed compliance reports and metrics for executive management and the board of directors

Requirement:

• 8+ years of experience in compliance or a related field, with experience in crypto exchange is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, law, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of global financial regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and compliance best practices
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing compliance teams
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Must be able to work in Gibraltar.
