Qa Engineer / Sdet Ii (Data & Automation Focus)

The Impact:
As an SDET II, you will make a significant contribution in testing and automating data-driven solutions across multiple platforms. Your challenge will be reducing the “time to market” for products without compromising quality — by leveraging strong SQL expertise, Python automation, and data analytics to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance across complex data pipelines and integrations.

You will work with a wide range of technologies including Snowflake, Tableau and Power BI and modern BI/ETL tools — and have the opportunity to interact with different internal teams to drive innovation and efficiency in test automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust automation scripts using Python and relevant frameworks to validate data, APIs, and application flows.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation, comparison, and analytics across multiple systems (Snowflake, SQL Server & other systems).
  • Implement Copado or other automation tools to streamline deployment and testing processes.
  • Design and develop test plans, test cases, and maintain automated regression suites across data platforms.
  • Leverage data analytics tools and scripting to detect data inconsistencies and ensure data quality across systems.
  • Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality releases on time.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Capture and analyse QA metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall QA strategy and best practices for automation, data testing, and continuous integration.

What We’Re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in QA or SDET roles, with strong SQL and Python hands-on experience.
  • Proven expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL queries (SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Experience with data analytics and validation — familiarity with Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in test automation using tools like Copado, Selenium, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of test strategy, automation frameworks, and data-driven testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education in a computer science field with minimum of a bachelors degree
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Metadata API and Release Management is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and desire to learn continuously.
