Job Function:
The job of the Stäubli Customer Quality Engineer will act as a liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring customer requirements and satisfaction are met in full and on time.

Manager – Quality, Operational Excellence and PMO
Responsibilities And Objectives:
- RMA Process Management: Oversee and collaborate closely with the Quality Lab Technician to manage the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. Serve as the communication and monitoring lead between departments, initiating the non-conformance process when applicable
- Complaint & Recall Management: Support and/or lead investigations, responses, and reporting on logistical complaints, recalls, failures, and product returns
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Conduct thorough root-cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and act as the liaison for customers and departments concerning manufacturing and internally supplied product or process issues
- Feedback System Development: Develop and maintain a closed-loop feedback system with customers to ensure findings translate into actionable measures and product improvements
- Cross-Company Compliance: Support ongoing investigations and collaborate with domestic and international teams to ensure company-wide compliance
- Product & Supplier Verification: Assist in verifying product and supplier qualifications. Process service requests for internal company suppliers
- APQP Process Leadership: Lead the implementation of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality departments
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain documentation related to product compliance, including certificates of compliance, First Article Inspections, test reports, and compliance checklists
- Quality Audits Participation: Participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor, document, and communicate the performance of quality activities using statistical and analytical tools.
- Training Implementation: Assist in implementing and sustaining training programs to build quality, safety, and compliance awareness within the organization.
- Standards & Legislation Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
- Other Duties: Perform all other related duties as assigned to support quality assurance within the organization.
- Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality or Continuous Improvement, automotive or automotive supplier manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or IATF 16949
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other Continuous Improvement knowledge required
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work directly with customers (internal and external) and understand their requirements and concerns
- Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office
- ERP system knowledge required, SAP preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel (domestic and internal) as required to meet with customers or suppliers to resolve quality issues

Physical Requirements:
- Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment
Work Schedule:
- Work will be onsite at our facility in Duncan, SC: involving office settings and manufacturing environments.
- 10-20% domestic and international travel to customer sites and supplier locations.

Salary Range:
- $75,000 - $85,000 USD
