We have an exciting opportunity to join us here at Covéa Insurance as a Senior Regional Underwriter, within our Underwriting Team! This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months, part time, 3 days a week.

In this role, you’ll be working in a team where you will drive regional success by retaining high-value bespoke business, boosting rate and margin strength, and winning new deals aligned to Covea’s underwriting strategy. What Are The Core Responsibilities?:
- Act as a senior underwriting leader, building trusted broker relationships to protect profitable business through service excellence and local engagement.
- Use personal underwriting authority to drive regional financial performance, expanding appetite and footprint within strategy.
- Lead underwriting of complex risks, enhance market reputation, and serve as the region’s technical expert to build team capability and confidence.
- Champion governance and risk awareness, ensuring strong business discipline and alignment with audit controls and risk management.
- Strengthen strategic broker and customer relationships to gain competitive edge and support profitable growth.
- Shape the local distribution panel and oversee renewals and large case management to drive retention and deliver customer value.
Do you have what it takes?
- Detailed knowledge of the regional broker market, with the ability to negotiate and influence through effective trading skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of positively influencing key stakeholders and promoting the wider business proposition
- Proactive, innovative, and positive, with the ability to take the lead and adapt to change with a motivated, can-do attitude
- Willingly provides help and support to others, working cooperatively and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong customer service skills, continuously and proactively seeking to improve the quality of service provided to all customers
- Extensive experience in underwriting and trading complex commercial combined and real estate business, with confident and decisive risk assessment; holds a minimum Dip CII qualification or is actively progressing toward it
