Are you seeking a role with a values-driven for purpose organization where you can support young people in our community? Are you an experienced health services manager passionate about Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs care for young people? Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive intake, assessment, brief intervention, and ongoing support for young people facing mental health and/or alcohol and drug issues.
This full-time role of Health Services Senior Manager supports our mission by leading the delivery of integrated MHAOD services and build strong strategic partnerships to expand future services to meet the needs of young people in Brisbane. The Health Services Senior Manager is responsible for a multi-disciplinary team providing evidence-based psychosocial, mental health and alcohol and other drug interventions for young people. In addition, the role will actively support BYS’s clinical governance activities and continuous improvement.
The role oversees the delivery of centre based, group and mobile support services.
You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or comparable qualification OR substantial demonstrated experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of clinical programs and health and therapeutic interventions with a focus on quality care and continuous improvement.
- Highly developed critical thinking, problem solving and risk management skills and demonstrated application of these in a frontline service delivery setting.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in clinical assessment, crisis and brief intervention, and planned support with vulnerable young people.
- Experience collaborating with leadership teams to plan and lead the development and establishment of new clinical services and health/wellbeing programs and partnerships to respond to the identified needs of vulnerable young people.
- The ability to work to build effective professional networks and partnerships with key stakeholders including QLD Health, PHN, ATSICHS/IUIH, QCGP+ and other providers.
- Manage clinical and critical incident responses to ensure the safety of young people, staff and the community.
Given the work that we do there will be few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:
- Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
- National Police Check clearance.
- Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella [Chicken Pox]; Pertussis [Whooping Cough]; Hepatitis B.
