Job Profile Summary/Position Overview:

West Coast Facilities Manager will primarily support Insulet operations in California; in addition to other satellite locations as directed by the organization.  This role facilitates proactive, preventative, and corrective maintenance through managing sub-contractors for the site utility systems, including, compressed air systems, cleaning services, landscaping, and other building services. 

Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities may be tasked, at the direction of Facilities leadership:

  • Lead proactive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for all site utility systems (HVAC, compressed air, cleaning, landscaping, and other building services).
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Review and recommend facility improvement projects, including repairs and upgrades for both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Identify and address maintenance concerns with equipment and vendors, providing recommendations to Facilities Leadership.
  • Lead and manage facility moves, renovations, and special projects, including vendor selection and oversight.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on equipment and process improvement initiatives.
  • Track and forecast project costs, working closely with finance and procurement.
  • Manage preventative maintenance of first aid stations, AEDs, and other safety equipment.
  • Oversee seating and space allocation for office staff, including new hire onboarding and cubicle management.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for cleaning, and other building services.
  • Serve as backup for shipping and reception functions as needed.
  • Travel to various California Insulet locations as required (approx. 50%) using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) and air travel for site visits and project oversight.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Facilities Leadership.

Education And Experience:

Minimum Requirement(S):

•     Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 8 years’ experience in a corporate office environment or building maintenance position.

Preferred Skills And Competencies:

  • Experience in the medical device industry, and corporate office management is preferred.
  • Possesses or can obtain the following certifications (training will be provided by Insulet): OSHA-10, First Aid, CPR, and AED Training.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of CAD, Bluebeam (Rev-it), Microsoft Project and/or other design/PM platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
  • Ability to organize and judge priorities.
  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,600.00 - $171,900.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
