About The Role
As the Construction Manager in Adelaide, you will lead the delivery of high-quality residential and commercial builds from planning through to handover. This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage construction operations, drive performance, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety and excellence. You’ll work closely with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and customers to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
- Oversee construction operations, ensuring compliance with WHS, building codes, and company standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and supplier/trade agreements to maintain profitability and quality.
- Lead and support construction teams through coaching, performance reviews, and recruitment.
- Drive continuous improvement in building techniques, operational systems, and customer service processes.
- Monitor safety practices and conduct regular site inspections to uphold WHS standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues, improve workflows, and ensure smooth handovers.
- Prepare regular reports on financial performance, project progress, and key metrics.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading high performing teams and have the following experience:
- Australian Citizen | Permanent Resident
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or similar
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry within Australia.
- Medium density project delivery experience
- Detailed understanding of South Australian building codes, planning laws & regulations.
- An aptitude for project management and be technically minded.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical construction detailing.
- Proven Leadership of site teams & multi-disciplinary contractors
- Experience managing budgets, cost control & reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and promotion of a safety culture on your sites.
