Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

Maintenance Engineers are responsible for executing and complete preventative maintenance, demand repairs, general repairs and adjustments to building systems, equipment and fixtures as required to the satisfaction of tenant and building owners.

Some things you can expect to do:

• Supervise subcontractors and/or self-perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, mechanical, electrical, and building equipment.
• Respond to, evaluate, and complete tenant/service requests as ordered.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, property grounds and mechanical areas in a neat and clean condition daily.
• Monitor and operate Fire/Life Safety equipment as required.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in the operation of commercial buildings and equipment.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
• Hold regional or local licensing/certifications to operate a building.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation.

• Basic Computer Skills.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a helpful attitude when interacting with building occupants.
• Valid driver's license, clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications and ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Ability to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Universal CFC, SMA, SMT, LEED certification, others as applicable preferred.
• Microsoft 365 Software experience.
