Responsibilities:
• Overseeing daily operations such as receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory, through best practice, cycle count, annual physical inventory, and data entry accuracy.
• Hire, train schedule and supervise warehouse staff.
• Implementing and enforcing operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient space utilization and process flow.
• Ensure a safe and productive working environment.
• Work with Health and Safety team to ensure warehouse and staff are compliant.
• Work with Logistics to ensure product is shipped in smooth and timely manner.
• Monitor expenditures, identify, report any capital needs or staff to ensure smooth operation.
• Monitoring costs and staying within allocated budget.
• Report any budget requirements to ensure warehouse needs are addressed.
• Oversee maintenance and condition of warehouse equipment, as well as overall cleanliness.
• Collaborate and communicate with other managers within the team to identify and close any gaps in policy and procedures.
• Collaborating with internal departments to identify and improve efficiency.
• Highlight slow moving items to management.
Skills:
• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff and other departments.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing inventory and operations.
• Proactive problem-solving skills to address challenges and improve operational performance.
• Proficiency in data analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Communication skills are essential.
The successful Individual will be expected to take ownership of their position. The individual will work closely with Branch Managers, Sales, and Purchasing teams within Parts and Aftermarket department as well as all internal departments.
