About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our growing team in Adelaide, as we prepare to move into our newly renovated office space at 30 Pirie Street. This role is central to ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming workplace environment for our people.
As the Facilities Manager, you will organise, control, and coordinate the strategic and operational management of the building and facilities. Your focus will be on ensuring the proper and efficient operation of all physical aspects of the workplace, while creating and sustaining a productive and safe environment. This hands-on role involves managing building services, workplace systems, hospitality support, compliance, and staff coordination, while also contributing to national initiatives and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage building services, maintenance registers, contractor coordination, and essential workplace functions
- Oversee workplace systems including desk booking, smart lockers, AV support, and liaise with IT for security infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, fire safety protocols, and emergency procedures
- Plan for future development, manage organisational change, and evaluate costs for facilities services and tenders
- Coordinate space planning, resource allocation, and support onboarding of new starters
- Supervise hospitality staff and maintain high standards of food safety and service delivery
- Communicate effectively across teams, managing service requests, inboxes, and stakeholder relationships
- Respond promptly to urgent issues, conduct minor repairs, and drive continuous improvement in workplace operations
About You
You’re a proactive and solutions-focused professional with a strong background in facilities management and workplace operations. You will bring to the team:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or asset maintenance
- Strong knowledge of workplace systems, AV equipment, and building services
- Proven ability to manage maintenance registers, service requests, and ensure compliance with OH&S and safety regulations
- Effective people management skills, including supervision of hospitality and facilities staff
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across teams, vendors, and contractors
- Hands-on approach to minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep
- Strong organisational skills to manage inboxes, onboarding tasks, and room setups
- Relevant certification in Facilities Management, Asset Management or Building Services (desirable but not essential)
