Frontend Engineer

In this position you will....

.. play a key technical role in configuring, developing, integrating, and maintaining device protection products. You’ll help build advanced web and mobile insurance platforms for a global Insurtech company. The role also involves leading end-to-end incident management and bridging technology with business. You'll have the autonomy to choose tools and technologies that boost your effectiveness.

 You will be responsible for…

• Delivering end-to-end frontend applications including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms
• Developing and maintaining server-side rendered (SSR) web applications using Thymeleaf and Java-based frameworks
• Designing and implementing robust, scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, integrated with backend services
• Researching and recommending new frontend frameworks, libraries, and tools to enhance application performance and user experience
• Assisting in evaluating frontend solutions based on product requirements, identifying potential challenges, and suggesting optimal technologies or approaches
• Optimizing the integration of frontend applications with backend APIs to ensure efficient data flow and responsive UI interactions
• Enhancing frontend performance by optimizing load times, managing asset sizes, and implementing techniques such as lazy loading and code splitting
• Ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility by adhering to responsive web design principles and mobile-first approaches
• Managing frontend system stability and performance to meet service-level agreements (SLAs) related to uptime and responsiveness
• Participating in front-end development activities including coding, code reviews, and testing to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and bug-free solutions
• Collaborating with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into functional user interfaces with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability
• Identifying and proactively addressing issues or opportunities for improvement related to frontend performance, usability, or security

 You will require the following qualifications and skills                                                                                                               

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong technical expertise in frontend development with a deep understanding of web technologies, user interfaces, and responsive design
• 1-3 years of experience in development using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, with a solid understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Context API)
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and experience collaborating with designers to implement user-friendly interfaces
• Familiarity with version control systems and branching strategies using Git, with hands-on experience in tools like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Cypress
• Proficiency in both English and Korean; additional language skills are a plus
• Ability to manage multiple requirements in a flexible and proactive manner while working collaboratively within an agile team using Scrum methodology
