Job Description:

  • Protect people, places, and assets from current and future risks that could potentially affect Johnson & Johnson Global and Regional Operations. Supervises and directs the company regional security interests in handling major security issues, particularly in China.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources including law enforcement agencies. Undertake threat and response assessments, providing threat and vulnerability assessments to business units; maintain ongoing security projects flow and assessment of events in the region.
  • Identify and implement innovative, appropriate, and risk based technology solutions. Identify and evaluate emerging technology that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of security. investigating major/complex security breaches often resulting in substantial losses or significant business.
  • Improve the security culture across the enterprise through actionable intelligence dissemination, awareness, guidance, and training programs to mitigate risk. Establish subject matter expertise through credentialing.
  • Identify opportunities for personal development through training, mentoring or engagement of outside resources. Provides regional oversight and strategic direction to enterprise contract security providers as well as company units to ensure the proper safety/security of physical assets, proprietary information, employees and visitors.
  • Select, train and manage security consultants as required, to include drafting, recommending consultants, negotiating contracts, providing leadership and guidance to consultants once retained. Coordinate training for law enforcement and regulatory officials; provide briefings to government officials.
  • Develop, maintain and ensure sound liaison with regional law enforcement and regulatory agencies as well as officials in the region, working with in-country/regions management to enhance those relationships as required. Maintains close liaison with law enforcement agencies and criminal justice prosecutors, and other government agencies.
  • Comply with all Global Security directives, with all Global Security policies, procedures and guidelines, and with all Global Security reporting requirements.
  • Prepare memoranda, written reports, security assessment, position papers and other communications as requested. Align with other directorates within Global Security, both regional and functional, coordinating efforts as required. Provide support and advice to Site Security Officers with regarding to the development and implementation of security policies and programs
  • Establish relationships with business leaders to identify security needs and develop plans of action to meet those needs; inform business leaders of the formulation and implementation of security policies, goals & objectives and best practices as required..

Qualification:

  • B.A. or equivalent required; professional certifications preferred. Degree in law, political science, criminal Justice or security discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business or government or law enforcement agencies especially in the investigations and/or management areas, private security, or specialized military training. Intra-company security related experience helpful.
  • Must have or be able to quickly establish positive relationships with government officials in the region, particularly in the country and region within scope of responsibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely; ability to prepare and deliver presentations and briefings, for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to gather and critically evaluate information and prepare written documents that clearly and concisely identify the issues presented and their proposed resolutions.
  • Strategic thinker with a firm understanding of the balance between business and security.
  • Able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks; must be able to work well under pressure, both internal and external and exercise sound judgment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Internet, email, word processing and database programs.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese, good written and oral command of English
