Purpose of the Role

As a Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for leading key areas of accounting within ELCA and its subsidiaries. You will ensure accurate and timely financial records, support monthly closings, and contribute to both consolidation and audit processes. This role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and strong collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Assets

  • Ensure accurate data in the Fixed Assets module in Oracle.
  • Monitor asset movements and maintain reconciliations.

Intercompany

  • Book intercompany invoices from external ERPs into the AP and dedicated modules.
  • Align bookings to avoid discrepancies and ensure proper recording.

Taxes

  • Book tax-related invoices.
  • Record provisions at year-end and maintain reconciliations of tax-related entries.
  • Monitor balances of invoices to be received from tax authorities.

Monthly Checks & Closings

  • Perform monthly VAT checks and book settlements for quarterly declarations.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations across the Group as part of the monthly closing process.

Consolidation

  • Support the consolidation process by preparing and validating entity-level data after closings.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of reported figures.

Audit

  • Collaborate in the financial audit process.
  • Provide required documentation and ensure timely responses to auditor requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or matrix organization.
  • Strong background in general ledger, monthly/quarterly closings, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
  • Familiarity with internal controls, audit processes, and compliance.
  • High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
  • Quick learner with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to fast-paced environments.
