Job Summary:
Intern will support Textron Aviation customers by applying knowledge in the Customer Service Maintenance Engineering department. Intern will use technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop, update, and/or improve inspection-related maintenance plans for all Textron Aviation product lines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and provide solutions to a complex inspection related maintenance issues
- Follow established procedures for collecting, organizing, and analyzing product data, researching inspection task findings, technical issues related to inspection programs, component reliability, product enhancements, service documents, etc
- Position requires frequent internal customer contact
- Represent Product Support on specific internal and cross-functional projects
- Analyze special product support problem areas and evaluate various alternatives of meeting these needs
- Find the best possible solution for product changes, maintenance program modifications or procedural changes using strategy agility
Qualifications
Education:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aircraft Management, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience/Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Action oriented and seizes opportunities
- Professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
