General Description And Classification Standards:

Responsible for the administration and management of the Cityworks program for the City of Atlanta, Department of Watershed Management. This position is responsible for maintaining various workflows, audits, and Cityworks programs. Advises and guides internal and external users of Cityworks and serves on the Cityworks committee. Additionally, this position participates in projects and provides end-user support for applications, connectivity, and server-related issues. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with City Departments to determine application functional needs and goals and conducts periodic reassessments as needed or requested.
  • Assist with monitoring the ticketing system to assist City staff with application changes and issues.
  • Work with internal and external users to define end user retrieval needs and parameters and provide training as needed.
  • Work with the security team to ensure adherence to security policies and standards.
  • Test applications for quality and functionality before installation.
  • Ensure 24/7 uptime and smooth operation of departmental applications.
  • Manage licenses for various applications and network servers.
  • Update license files and applications periodically.
  • Create installation guides, troubleshoot documents, and manuals.
  • Audit applications quarterly, manage user access, and recommend decommissioning of underutilized software.
  • Provide solutions for technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in daily team meetings, project meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot servers and other hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement and oversee data backup processes and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical systems and information.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in related field, and five (5) to seven (7)years of experience with utilizing Cityworks software, ESRI software, GIS-centric or other asset management systems. 

Licensures and Certifications - ITIL v4, Microsoft fundamentals (AZ-900). Preferred Requirements - Must have knowledge of and ability to configure asset management software (specifically CityWorks). 

Lifting Requirements: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. 

Work Schedule:
This position follows the City’s hybrid work schedule policy as assigned by the Department of Human Resources Commissioner and requires in-person work at City worksites/facilities at least four (4) days per week, with the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on eligibility, departmental needs, and supervisor approval. The hybrid work schedule is subject to change at any time to five (5) days in-person work.
