Overview
Chubb is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our EMEA IT team. As a member of the EMEA IT Delivery team, the Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing a variety of projects throughout the entire project lifecycle—from ideation and initiation (including understanding business objectives, benefits, and securing project approval) through delivery and transition to BAU teams. This is a critical role within the IT organization, working closely with IT management and key business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities for assigned projects within the EMEA IT team.• Collaborate closely with project sponsors, business owners, and key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered on schedule and within budget.• Organize and chair project steering group meetings to report progress, manage risks and issues, and keep stakeholders informed.• Manage cross-functional project teams, including IT, Business Change, and business representatives (e.g., underwriting, operations, claims).• Oversee projects during feasibility and initiation phases to ensure objectives, benefits, delivery methods, and resource/cost requirements are agreed and understood.• Manage project budgets in line with established procedures, ensuring project governance is maintained and necessary approvals are obtained, including during the annual planning process.• Maintain all project artefacts (such as charters, plans, risk/issues logs, and status reports) and ensure projects progress through stage gate controls in accordance with defined PMO standards.
- Extensive experience managing IT projects, ideally within the Finance or Insurance sectors.• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.• Experience working with external vendors is desirable.• PRINCE2 Practitioner certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office suite.• Willingness and ability to travel for meetings and workshops across European branches.
