Edenred UAE is a fast growing payroll service provider serving more than 6,000 business and more than 2 million unbanked employees. We service over 10 banks and 35 financial institutions. We offer a unique value proposition for companies to manage their payroll and for employees to receive their salaries and use it in the simplest way offering multiple value added services via our mobile app (money transfer, mobile recharge and card services)
The Role
As a Security Analyst, you’ll be part of a passionate and collaborative team dedicated to protecting our business. You will play a key role in investigating security alerts, ensuring they are handled in line with our policies, and partnering with asset owners to track and remediate vulnerabilities. By identifying and addressing risks, you’ll directly contribute to strengthening our security posture and shaping a safer environment for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to security alerts by analyzing events, logs, and incidents to identify potential threats and suspicious activity.
- Ensure proper incident handling by following internal security policies, playbooks, and escalation paths to minimize impact.
- Track and manage vulnerabilities across systems and applications in collaboration with asset and application owners.
- Support risk remediation efforts by assessing the severity of issues and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor security tools and dashboards (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CSPM) to maintain visibility into the organization’s security posture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by tuning detections, refining processes, and suggesting automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security awareness, share insights, and support compliance requirements.
Your Profile
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, security analyst, or related roles.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel), vulnerability management platforms, Network, Azure Cloud, and cloud security monitoring (CSPM) such as Defender for Cloud.
- Certifications: At least one relevant certification such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge Areas: Strong understanding of incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, UAE-IA, PCI-DSS).
- Traits: Analytical thinker, proactive problem solver, detail-focused, and committed to continuous learning in a fast-changing environment.
Reporting Structure
The selected candidate will report directly to the Security Lead, who is responsible for ensuring that projects and applications are managed appropriately.
