Truvant is actively seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding site in Haslet, Texas. As a premier contract manufacturing and packaging service provider, we specialize in collaborating with top global brands in food & beverage and consumer packaged goods. Our Haslet facility operates around the clock, exclusively supporting the LEGO Group on a 24/7 schedule.
We offer diverse opportunities across four crews, accommodating both day and night shifts. Our unique schedule features 12-hour shifts for three days, supplemented by an additional 6-hour shift on the fourth day. Position Objective:
Oversee and coordinate all daily production for the plant to meet customer dates and maintain acceptable production rates for the company’s success. Promote a positive culture through training, educating, and teamwork.
Shift: Crew B Sun-Tues 6:00PM-6:30AM; Wed 6:00PM-12:30AM
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Ensure all orders are completed on time and to Company and Customer standards
- Manage the resources in specified area to achieve the expected outcome for scheduled production.
- Continually analyze daily performance, yields, staffing, and downtime to maximize response time to production changes and to reduce loss to the company.
- Responsible for the daily employee needs per production area
- Track employee production to ensure they are at acceptable levels on an hourly basis
- Responsible for continuous mentoring, training, and communicating with all employees to facilitate growth and progress
- Communicate and enforce all company policies, guidelines, and programs fairly and equitably.
- Lead leaders and hourly employees across an area in the plant
- Work closely with other members of the Leadership team
- Ensure that the production floor is a safe environment, free from hazards and promote and enforce all safety policies
- Responsible for documenting any accidents or near misses
- Responsible for making sure employee time and attendance is updated daily
- Responsible for making sure performance and training records are current and accurate
- Seek continuous improvements
- Any other duties assigned
Requirements
Education, Training & Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
- 2-5 years manufacturing experience preferred
- On the job training provided
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
- Skill in multitasking and time management
- Ability to effectively manage personnel of varying skills and disciplinary backgrounds
- Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
- Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
- Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
Physical And Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
- Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
- Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
- Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
- Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds
