Software Engineer, Better Together, Android Bluetooth

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++, Java.
• 2 years of experience with Android application or Bluetooth related development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with designing/building or working with other Bluetooth stack architectures.
• Experience with coding in Rust.
• Experience with designing APIs and working on frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.

The Android Bluetooth team focuses on providing connectivity using Bluetooth technology and delivering key experiences for the users.Android is Google’s mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. Responsibilities

• Lead new features and technologies within the Better Together along with proposing technical strategy.
• Design, implement and maintain Android Connectivity stack for Pixel and third-party devices.
• Collaborate with internal, external and partner teams to refine and define the Bluetooth stack and scaling it to the industry.
• Help to build the next generation of Application Programming Interface (APIs) and library for first-party and third-party developers.
• Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management, and program management to ensure the development of quality solutions.
