Job Purpose
The position is responsible for managing manuscript submissions and transfers within Sage Track and Sage Path systems, ensuring compliance with submission criteria, accurate data transfer, and timely communication with authors and editors. The role supports the smooth processing of manuscripts across designated journals, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and professional correspondence throughout the peer review workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review manuscripts submitted through Sage Track to ensure compliance with submission criteria.
- Invite and assign editors to appropriate journals based on author preferences or recommendations from AMEs.
- Track authors who have not submitted their manuscripts by the defined deadlines and follow up accordingly.
- Verify that all submission information has transferred accurately; fill in any missing details using available resources in Sage Path (training and guides will be provided).
- Use standardized email templates to contact authors for missing information and provide guidance throughout the submission process.
- Monitor unsubmitted Sage Path manuscripts in destination titles; proactively reach out to authors to offer support and resolve queries.

- Manage the number of submissions assigned annually as per the yearly WAP, following successful completion of training and phased transition of responsibilities.
- Respond to email inquiries from journal editors, associate editors, authors, reviewers, and Sage staff within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays), using clear, concise, and professional communication.
- Escalate any tense or sensitive communication from editors/authors to your supervisor and share positive feedback or praise as well.
- Apply problem-solving skills to address and resolve journal-related issues efficiently.

- Provide peer support to team members on assigned journals as defined by the supervisor.

Qualifications And Experience
- Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience in the publishing industry (preferred).
